Dry and sub-Humid land Biodiversity

- Dry and sub-humid lands are located in Mediterranean areas and comprise, arid, semi-arid, grassland and savannah ecosystems. Many are threatened by desertification. At its fifth meeting in 2000, the COP adopted the programme of work on dry and sub-humid lands (Decision V/23). This programme seeks to provide an assessment of status and trends in these ecosystems, and provide options for their conservation and sustainable use.
